Watch Adam Lambert sing the Rolling Stones song Satisfaction during the Top 36 round of American Idol Season 8.

Considering the way the judges were jumping out after Danny Gokey’s Hero, I’d have expected them to be doing the same here. If you’ve watched live performances of this song other than the Rolling Stones, you will know how tough it is to pull off this song live. As pointed out by Kara, there were some incredible vocal-range displays – there’s this one moment in Lambert’s performance around the 1:15 mark where in delivering “I can’t get no…”, he moves from mid-range to shriek to low range. Incredible performance by a singer who is a Top 3 favourite for me.
