Amanda Overmyer Sings Baby Please Don’t Go On American Idol
Tonight, Amanda Overmyer sang the song, Baby Please Don’t Go during the 1st Round of the Top 24 contestants at American Idol 2008 Season 7. Amanda Overmyer who’s just coming off a car wreck chose a really old song that’s been done by AC/DC and Aerosmith most notably. Ok so she’s supposed to be this rocker chick. With all the fuss about Robbie Carrico last night, one thing is clear – Amanda Overmyer is as much of a rocker as Robbie Carrico – it’s just that she’s been at it longer than he has. I personally don’t like the da ba deebadab thing that some singers think is really slick. All in all, Amanda Overmyer comes across as having a pretty one dimensional voice – she’s pretty good at that one dimension though. Simon Cowell really screws up on this one – he mistakes the scat thing she does for forgotten lyrics.
