This has got to be the Funniest and Worst American Idol Audition ever. This dude is absolutely nuts and yet so serious about his singing. Watch him in the video talking about harmony, vocal chord maintenance – he then performs one of the funniest warm ups in front of the judges before decimating Livin On A Prayer by Bon Jovi. The judges lose control of the guy as he starts walking around the room in circles while making repeated attempts at the song. Finally needs to be escorted away by security. Best moments – his water bottle, and the way his arms cross over each other as he tries to bring out the passion.

Gregory & Mia Tobias – brother-sister duo who try out some operatic sync cacophonous singing. The best part of this clip is that no words are exchanged by these Idol contestants with the judges after their performance is done. Simon Cowell looks at them blankly, they get the message, and walk off. Fascinating to watch.

Bruce Dickson – This 19 year old guy has never kissed a girl or got even close. By choice. Apparently it’s his dad’s corny idea wherein he’s given him a key that he wears around his neck and his dad’s got this heart shaped locket that has a part of it cut out to fit the key in. So when he finds the right girl she’s gonna listen to his maudlin story and wear that heart round her neck. And finally, then, he’ll get to slip his key into hers. Her heart I mean. Sings Ain’t No Sunshine originally by Bill Withers.

Angela Reilly Hottie with professional model boyfriend who thinks the world of her singing abilities. This leads to some funny interchanges with the judges about her performance of The Supremes Baby Love and Hit Me With Your Best Shot originally by Pat Benatar.

Tammi Tuzinski – Looks perennially dazed. Says she’s gonna sing Power of Love by Celine Dion, but ends up singing Patti Labelle’s If You Asked Me (also covered by Celine Dion). Realises this midway but continues anyhow. Quite a spaced out clip.
