American Idol Miami Florida Auditions Winners
Watch American Idol auditions from Miami, Florida audition round that feature the best winners – contestants/ performances and singers that won a ticket to the second Hollywood round. This video includes:
Suzanne Toon – This hot sexy young single mom from Florida sums up her current status in one sentence – I’m just sick of struggling. Sings Bonnie Raitt’s I Can’t Make You Love Me. Has the voice and looks to make it to the next few American Idol rounds.
Corliss Smith & Brittany Wescott – These two big mommas from Jacksonville Florida who are also best friends are just happy with life and themselves. Though they share a lot of similarities their taste in men apparently differs in a skinny-beefy bipolar way. So inside the American Idol audition room, one goes for Simon Cowell while the other goes for Randy Jackson. Corliss Smith sings Take Five – the lyric version of the immortal jazz piece by Dave Brubeck which was first sung by Carmen McRae, and later by Al Jarreau. Brittany Wescott does The Supremes’ My Guy. Entertaining and truly fun people to watch.
Ghaleb Emachah – Originally from Egypt, he sings an accented You Sang To Me by Marc Anthony. Girls probably like his types, but his accent could get him in trouble in later rounds of American Idol. For now, he is bursting with joy and kisses for Paula Abdul and everyone outside the audition room who will allow him. Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell squabble quite a bit during this.
Ramiele Malubay – From Florida and looking to become the first Asian American to be an American Idol winner. The last Asian-American to get close was Jasmine Trias who like Ramiele was part Filipino (origins in Philippines). Small sized but big voiced with potential she sings Natural Woman by Aretha Franklin. Gets a NO from Simon but Paula and Randy get her through. Watch Simon and Paula squabble and fight on this one.
Syesha Mercado – This pretty actress/singer was at the American Idol auditions apparently for her dad who had just graduated out of drug and alcohol rehab. Sang Aretha Franklin’s Think quite powerfully.
Robbie Carrico – From Melbourne, Florida – his former boy band singer claims to have reformed himself and now poses as a rock singer. Takes on the classic Lynyrd Skynyrd song, Simple Man, but this guy’s probably doing the Shinedown version of it. Well, you look at his moves while singing and come to a simple man’s conclusion – you can take a guy out of a boy band, but can’t take the boyband out of him.
Short clips of Natshia Blach – From Fort Collins, Colorado – sang At Last (My Love Has Come Along). This 1940s sung was made famous in the early 60s by Etta James and in recent times by Norah Jones and Celine Dion.
Ilsy Lorena Pinot – Sang Unfaithful by Rihanna.
