Watch American Idol Hollywood Round performances from contestants who got eliminated /screwed and didn’t quite cut it into the Top 24 finalists. This video is split into 2 parts and includes the Hollywood results where contestants from the Top 50 are given the good bye. The first video includes:

Josiah Leming – This is the one contestant I actually felt bad didn’t make it, despite my doubts if the surrealism would last through Hollywood after his Auditions (Watch his American Idol Audition – Atlanta, Georgia). Josiah has been living in his car for the last one year, and his age, his experiences being alone most of the time, burning desire to come to terms with his talent and ambition – all got together to knock him out of American Idol 2008. He actually had a wonderful 1st Round at Hollywood singing Mika’s Grace Kelly. Maybe it’s my personal fascination with the Beatles’ influenced British pop-rock genre, but I was really hoping this one would make it through. Well he didn’t. The Why behind it all is all there in the video. One just feels the whole mess-up with the band thing in the second round stems from his being alone most of the time in the last year and a failure to come to terms with amalgamating himself with a bunch of guys. If the last year of his life is what it appears to be, he should be able to, somehow, somehow recover from this setback and continue being what he is – a talented songwriter and frontman.

Amy Flynn – the dance captain from Charleston who talked a lot about abstinence during her Idol auditions and in general annoyed the hell out of me. One of two contestants I personally enjoyed seeing eliminated. Check out her vocal coaching lessons from a former Idol contestant – her initial patronizing attitude to the vocal coach changes into one of humility after being given the boot.

Kyle Ensley – this politician wannabe is the other contestant I enjoyed seeing being given the boot. Paula Abdul dilly dallying about the spirit he brings to the competition gets Simon Cowell disgusted and he walks off saying ‘I can’t listen to this rubbish anymore’.
