Brooke White Sings Turtles Happy Together on American Idol
Tonight, Brooke White sang the Turtles song, Happy Together during the 1st Round of the Top 24 contestants at American Idol 2008 Season 7. This week, the theme was the 60s.
Brooke White goes the David Cook way and sings Happy Together. There were times when it felt like she was rotating her voice around the song a bit too much in an attempt to get it sounding surrealistic, but it was definitely one of the better performances of the night. She’s a great singer and looks like a Top 10 at least. Simon Cowell launches into some hilarious stuff in a take off on Brooke’s supposed ‘good girl who has never seen an R rated movie’ image by comparing her performance with ‘washing up liquid’ commercials. I personally think Miss White overdoes the nice girl image. But then, what does my opinion matter. If you think so too, well then, cool, I guess.
