Tonight, Chikezie Eze sang the song, More Today Than Yesterday by Spiral Starecase during the 1st Round of the top 24 contestants at American Idol 2008 Season 7.
Chikezie Eze got panned by Simon Cowell for sounding too old fashioned. He had this whole Marvin Gaye kind of sensual thing going that didn’t quite cover up his vocals. Doubt if he’ll make it to the Top 12. The main problem with his performance was – whether it is the Spiral Starecase version or the Diana Ross version, there’s a lot of punch associated with this song – not oomph.
