With all the controversy around, American Idol went out of its way in a very blatant way (right at the start of this video) to make it clear that David Cook songs until now, were essentially existing arrangements. All this wouldn’t have happened if Eleanor Rigby had been credited properly. Despite Cook and Ryan mentioning in later performances his sources, that one stigma has been dogging him since the first Beatles night. Performance wise didn’t blow me tonight but didn’t take away also, from the flood he’s riding.

Ok, I just listened to Chris Cornell’s version of Billie Jean and David C’s version and even though they are similar, and I’m sure David C based his version on Chris C’s version, David C’s version definitely had more of a rock edge. I thought David C’s version was much better. This is the 1st time I have ever written a comment but I just couldn’t keep quiet any longer. David Cook is definitely the best singer and performer on American Idol and should win. Even though I love Jason’s voice and style, not to mention that he is absolutely adorable, David C in all honesty should win the whole thing. As Simon says, just my opinion.
