David Cook Sings Beatles Eleanor Rigby On American Idol

Tonight, watch David Cook – one of the Top 12 contestants at American Idol 2008 Season 7 – sing the Beatles song, Eleanor Rigby. The theme tonight was Lennon/McCartney.

After last week’s phenomenal performance of Hello, David Cook is one contestant you actually look forward to seeing, purely to see what he’s going to do with his song choice. Another sensational performance especially because of the arrangement. That keyboard running around was fantastic with its tone but I felt it would have sounded better if it was somehow fused with his vocals. David Cook’s vocals were a bit flat during the start of each verse but the chorus just like with Hello was once again killer.
