Jason Castro – my personal favourite performance of the night. Absolutely chill, relax and forget there’s a competition going on kind of performance. Total release of pressure for the listener. Jason Castro seems like he’s at American Idol because he happens to be there. On a whim. This is the kind of performance Josiah Leming should have given at Hollywood week when he sang Stand By Me after dismissing the band. The next few weeks are gonna be interesting cos he’s tasted unexpected success with this performance and got a whiff of the possibilities. It remains to be seen how he handles this.
