Joanne Borgella sees herself as the voice for ‘average-sized’ women to accept themselves for what they are. This plus-size model has sung the American National Anthem at Madison Square Garden which impresses Randy Jackson big time during the auditions. Joanne doesn’t disappoint with one of the best Season 7 Idol auditions singing the Celine Dion song, I Love You beautifully.

In her Hollywood performance, Joanne Borgella sings a popular song choice by the contestants: When I Need You, famously covered by Celine Dion, Leo Sayer and Rod Stewart. Also watch the judges telling her she made it through to the Top 24 ahead of Cardin McKinney. This is an extended session and involves Joanne Borgella describing her trials in the past with the music industry based on her plus sized appearance. It also has an interesting bit at the end after the decision has been announced where Simon Cowell says, “This is the point where I change my mind”.
