Despite saying it was inevitable yesterday, I must admit I did hope for that infinitesimal possibility of Kady Malloy hanging around some more time. With her and Alaina Whitaker leaving, for me, two of the best female contestants are out, and American Idol holds pure academic interest. If someone watched Kady Malloy sing for the first time today, they’d have wondered how on earth she made it this far. Her weakest performance, vocally, on the show. I know it’s goodbye time and all, but was hoping for a swan song goodbye here. It’s getting quite tiring to see Ramiele Malubay weeping – it’s almost like she’s set a precedent and needs to live up to it each week.
