Tonight, watch Kristy Lee Cook – one of the Top 11 contestants at American Idol 2008 Season 7 – sing the Beatles song You’ve Got To Hide Your Love. The theme was Beatles night.
Kristy Lee Cook’s story is turning out like Kady Malloy’s in the sense that every week you sit hoping she’s gonna knock or (blow as she said) your socks off and she just about manages to fall short. This week’s performance had some fantastic parts and some mediocre bits. As Paula Abdul was trying to explain at the end, she should have sent the chorus on a higher scale and that country twang of hers would have made it a very good performance. I wish that she stays, but it looks like it’s back to the farm until the record execs come a-calling. There’s a really funny bit where at the end Kristy promises to blow Simon Cowell the next time around. Much laughter.
