At his American Idol audition, Michael Johns sang the Roy Orbison version of the Otis Redding song, I’ve Been Loving You Too Long. Simon Cowell goes on to call him a ‘white soul singer’.

In his 1st Hollywood performance Michael Johns takes on the Doors song, Light My Fire. He steps it up a notch in his 2nd Hollywood performance with Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. Doing Freddie Mercury and pulling it off was quite wonderful to watch. Also watch the judges telling Michael he made it to the Top 24.
