Watch Nick Mitchell sing And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going (Dreamgirls) and then move to Amazing Grace during his American Idol audition for Season 8. The video also includes his infamous spar with Simon Cowell – “You mean the way you like it when Seacrest does it.”
Does have a decent voice beneath all the persona-confusion, but if that’s what made him a Top 36 contestant remains doubtful. More likely that with some of the more interesting contestants being eliminated during Hollywood week, Norman Gentle was included to up the entertainment value of the show.
