Syesha Mercado – This pretty actress/singer from Sarasota, Florida was at the American Idol auditions apparently for her dad who has just graduated out of drug and alcohol rehab. Sang the Aretha Franklin song Think quite powerfully.

Her voice was falling apart with a bad cold, but she got it all right for the final performance delivering a knock out song performance that got her through. Also watch the judges telling her she made it through to the Top 24.
