Tonight, watch Syesha Mercado – one of the Top 11 contestants at American Idol 2008 Season 7 – sing the Beatles song Yesterday. The theme was Beatles night.
This Paul McCartney piece is actually not easy to song and can sound terrible in the wrong hands. Syesha Mercado’s vocals came across quite well on this though I felt she did some unnecessary ‘belting out the shrieks’ things. Why do you do them Syesha. Because I can. Well, ok. Didn’t do much for me but I can see why she should be given another week.
